Purchase ordering system

The true power and the main advantage of an EPOS system lies in its ability to monitor and control your stock. ProEPOS has a built in Purchase Ordering system offering a number of powerful features. Considerable flexibility is built into this to put you in control of how you would like to replenish your inventory:

• Manual ordering by creating your own Purchase Orders.
• Automatic ordering, where the system creates your Purchase Orders for you based on the re-order levels you have specified.
• Automatic ordering, where the system creates your Purchase Orders for you based on recent or historic sales performance.
• Ordering from a handheld terminal.

How you generate your orders is entirely up to you and how you run (or would like to run) your business. The important point is that the Purchase Ordering system gives you the flexibility to manage your stock as you see fit.

In this section of the manual we look at all the features that the Purchase Ordering system provides and how to use them effectively to control your stock levels.

It is also possible to edit stock line details from within this area.

Note

Editing product details are saved automatically as soon as you have adjusted the detail, unless the configuration option to prompt to save changes is enabled.

You can also 'Lock' columns so they are not editable by right clicking the column header and enabled the option, these are highlighted by the text turning red.
