Reason codes

The reason codes options allows you to update the list of reasons for

• Discount reasons
• Return reasons
• Petty cash reasons
• News credit reasons

The upper section of the window allows you to enter global reasons in a multi-site setup this is where you set the reasons for all stores, in the case of a single store setup this is the best area to add reasons to. The lower section in a multi-site setup allows for additional reasons that are for specific stores to have.

Discount reasons these are logged against the item or visit level discount for reporting purposes. You can add a fixed percentage discount to the end of the reason code, e.g. "Employee discount 12.50%" would give a 12.5% discount automatically when this reason is selected.

Note

Adding a Monetary value does not work like the percentage variant.
